Maurizio Gentilini
Maurizio Gentilini, primo ricercatore dell’Istituto di Storia dell’Europa Mediterranea del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (ISEM CNR).
Dopo la formazione presso l’Università di Trento, si è specializzato in archivistica e biblioteconomia a Mantova e a Roma. Ha lavorato presso l’Archivio Diocesano e la Biblioteca Capitolare di Trento, e l’Istituto Luigi Sturzo di Roma.
Al CNR dal 2008, è stato responsabile degli archivi dell’Ente, ha lavorato presso il Dipartimento Scienze umane e sociali, Patrimonio culturale (DSU) e nella segreteria tecnico-scientifica della Presidenza. Collabora con il Centro interdipartimentale di Scienza delle città (CISC CNR).
Ha condotto ricerche e pubblicato saggi sulla storia delle biblioteche e degli archivi, sulla storia dei partiti politici, sulla storia del movimento cattolico italiano ed europeo, sulla storia del pacifismo e su personaggi come Alcide De Gasperi e Chiara Lubich. Ha curato alcuni testi dedicati alla storia dell’alpinismo e alla storia della ricerca scientifica.
Insegna Storia moderna e Storia contemporanea presso l’Università Internazionale Uninettuno.
È giornalista pubblicista e collabora con numerose università e istituzioni culturali, italiane ed europee.

Maurizio Gentilini, Senior Researcher at the Institute of History of Mediterranean Europe of the National Research Council of Italy (ISEM – CNR).
He graduated from the University of Trento and subsequently specialized in archival and library science in Mantua and Rome. He has worked at the Diocesan Archive and the Chapter Library of Trento, and at the Luigi Sturzo Institute in Rome.
Since 2008, he has been working at the CNR, where he has served as record and archival manager. He has held positions within the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU), and in the scientific secretariat of the Presidency. He currently collaborates with the CNR Interdepartmental Centre for City Science (CISC CNR).
His research interests include the history of libraries and archives, the history of political parties, the Catholic movement in Italy and Europe, the history of pacifism, and biographical studies on figures such as Alcide De Gasperi and Chiara Lubich. He has also curated publications on the history of mountaineering and the history of scientific research.
He teaches Modern and Contemporary History at the International University UNINETTUNO.
He is a journalist and collaborates with several universities and cultural institutions in Italy and Europe.
